01
Colour and display
Photography, lighting and screens can make colour appear slightly different. Brands should use representative images and disclose meaningful colour characteristics. A substantial or misleading difference is not excused as normal screen variation.
02
Sizing and measurements
Brand sizing is not standardized. Use the measurement chart on that product page rather than relying only on S/M/L or a size used by another brand. Any stated measurement tolerance applies only when shown on the listing. A material deviation can support a claim.
03
Handwork and print placement
Hand embroidery, embellishment, dye lots, artisan finishing and print placement can have small individual differences. Loose decorative threads that do not affect integrity may be a finishing characteristic; unraveling, missing work, staining or significant asymmetry may be a defect.
04
What is included
The listing must identify ready-to-wear, stitched, semi-stitched, unstitched or made-to-order status and list every included piece—for example shirt, trousers, dupatta, lining or belt. Styled accessories, jewellery, shoes and props are excluded unless expressly listed.
05
Fabric, care and packaging
Where relevant, listings should describe fabric, lining, transparency, weight, season and care. Follow disclosed care instructions. Damage caused solely by care contrary to clear instructions may be excluded, subject to mandatory rights. Protective or branded packaging may vary and is not itself part of the product unless stated.
